I make no apologies for being totally biased when speaking about Paul Scholes. He is my all-time favourite United player, and it pains me when anyone questions his place in the team.

Scholes' off the ball movement is a joy to watch. He is always available to receive the ball from a team-mate and his range of passing is the best in the English game.

Though advancing in years - he's 34 - he still remains one of the best midfielders in the country. Managers rave about him, many players say he is the best they have either played with or against and yet some United fans seem to forget about him or just take him for granted.

He is a model pro who humbly sits back from the limelight. We need to savour the next two years and appreciate him because when he is gone it will be many years before we see his like again – if ever.
